Winter is coming

EDIT 12/11/2011: Two years ago, I shot and first published this image. And ever since I've been unsatisfied, even though I received many nice comments here. It was too dark, saturated and, in the end, too far from the beauty of nature that I was blessed to witness.

Since them, I learned a lot in advanced stitching so this time the original file si 70M pixels! And yes, I'm definitely printing it full size for my baby boy's room... Also, working on portraits has tought me how to be more delicate with texture and corrections in the skin work, which enabled me to concentrate on the snow in the foreground with much more accuracy and subtelty than when I just smoothed and blurred the defaults I didn't want to appear (as my footsteps, for instance...)

Oh well, it's been two years of dedication from one photo to the other, and more than 20 hours of work to rework it from the original RAW files but, in the end, I guess it will only take you a few seconds to know whether it was worth it or not. As it should...
